Amazon Camp Lodge is much more than a place to stay. It is an immersive Amazon rainforest lodge set in the Acajatuba region, within the Rio Negro Sustainable Development Reserve, near Manaus, Brazil.
Surrounded by forest, lakes and the waters of the Rio Negro, the lodge was created for travelers who want to experience the Amazon at a slower, more meaningful pace. Inspired by the principles of Slow Tourism, our approach brings together nature, adventure and genuine connections with the people and landscapes of the region.
Our private rooms were designed to keep guests close to the forest without giving up comfort. Instead of air conditioning, each room uses natural cross-ventilation, ceiling fans and large screened walls that allow the forest breeze to flow through the room while keeping the sleeping area protected. At night, the sounds of frogs and nocturnal monkeys become part of the experience. At dawn, birds announce the beginning of another day in the rainforest.
Comfort here follows the rhythm of the Amazon. Private double beds, airy sleeping spaces and external bathroom facilities located on the same floor, just steps from the rooms, provide everything needed for a comfortable stay while preserving the feeling of being immersed in nature.
Our all-inclusive, canoe-based expeditions take travelers deeper into the landscapes of the Rio Negro region. Depending on the season and itinerary, experiences may include navigating through flooded forests known as igapós, rainforest walks, birdwatching, nighttime wildlife observation, opportunities to see Amazon river dolphins and meaningful visits with local riverine communities.
