For those who want to explore the Amazon in its entirety, navigating its river routes and land trails, this package is ideal. For four days, you will have the opportunity to intensely experience the jungle, rivers and lakes, taste the authentic Amazonian flavors, immerse yourself in the local culture and, at the same time, enjoy moments of relaxation surrounded by nature.
Departure from Manaus on an exclusive Amazon Explorers vessel, heading to the Meeting of the Waters, a phenomenon that enchants all our visitors, where the dark waters of the Rio Negro run parallel to the muddy waters of the Rio Solimões for 6 km without mixing. After passing through the famous meeting of the rivers, the river tour continues to Janauari Lake.
Opportunity to explore different Amazon biomes - Igapó forests - are low-lying and frequently flooded terrains and therefore form vegetation consisting of shrubs, vines, and mosses, examples of common plants in these areas. It is also in the Igapó forests where you can appreciate the famous aquatic plant Victoria Regia, one of the symbols of the Amazon, after walking along a pleasant suspended wooden trail, surrounded by nature and tall trees.
Stop for lunch at a floating restaurant - where Amazonian flavors can be tasted in fruits, salads, noble fishes, and meats. After lunch - begin the upstream navigation along the right bank of the Rio Negro, contemplating the Amazonian beauties, the riverside houses, flooded forests, and the narrow channels of the river that form creeks.
As the vessel glides through the waters of the Rio Negro, it is the ideal time to contemplate the beautiful landscapes that form along the navigation. The arrival at the Indigenous community will take place in the afternoon when the community leader and his family will offer us a warm welcome. This traditional greeting shows how much the presence of visitors is well-received by everyone.
Take some free time to interact and connect with the community hosts and learn about their manual work made with forest-derived raw materials.
As we continue to Lake Acajatuba, we enjoy the spectacular Amazonian sunset, followed by check-in at Amazon Camp Lodge. After settling in, the guide will present the lodge and the upcoming experiences.
